We enjoy their walking tours when we are in London, but we cannot be there now. Maybe these virtual tours are not new, but I have not seen them before. Right now they are mostly holiday-themed walks, and they look like fun.
I posted on the Perfect London Walk, based on the eponymous book, here: https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/books-movies/the-perfect-london-walk
Lola, I did a couple during Covid - but none of these. And I just (wrongly) assumed they probably weren’t doing them anymore.
The virtual walks were started during Covid when they couldn't operate their regular walks.
They must be popular because they are still available.
Trip Report:
I loved the “London of Charles dickens’ Christmas” walk, a nice tour of sites around the City of London and near St. Paul’s that appears in the story (some still existing buildings, others just locations). The walk was indeed “live” and we had opportunities to ask questions on -screen or via chat. This one will be repeated on Dec. 21, 24, and 31, in the daytime if you are in North America. I highly recommend it!
And just now I signed up both my husband and myself to watch the Winter Solstice walk coming up on Saturday.
