Walking from London’s Globe Theatre to the Bridge Theatre

We think we will be walking to an evening performance at the Bridge Theatre, from the area near the Globe Theatre. I am wondering if the route is pedestrian friendly or if there are many busy roads to cross or other issues with walking there. I looked on google maps but it went in immersive mode and I don’t know how to get it out of that mode back into regular-looking photos of the area.
We were in the area once and it seemed you can’t follow the Thames exactly, that it is kind of roundabout.
Anybody familiar with this walk? Anyone know how to get google maps out of immersive mode?
Thanks!

Simply walk along the South Bank or more accurately called the Queens Walk - about 30 minutes just follow everyone else - it's choc full of pedestrians.

Yes this couldn’t be an easier walk. Just stick to the river. I checked Google Maps and it takes you a different route which is presumably slightly shorter. Don’t do that. Just follow the pedestrian only path along the Thames.

To get out of immersive view, just click on the X in the upper left hand corner and that should return you to the regular map view. That's for an iPhone. I think if you have an Android, you can click on the compass to get out, but not totally sure about that.

ETA: By the way, I think there is nothing more pleasant than walking along the Thames at night. I love the colored lights and the bustling activity and see the lights shine on the water. There are so many people out walking and laughing and just having a good time. It's one of my favorite things to do.

Sounds like an easy route and fun walk. Thanks!
Oh I looked for the x to click out of immersive view and I don’t see any x on my iPhone. Any idea where it could be? I would like to see the streets just not in completely not-helpful-to-me immersive view.

There is a stretch between London Bridge and the Globe Theatre that we could’t walk next to the river. That I think is where we went a kind of roundabout way and then we went over the bridge so I didn’t know what was east of London Bridge, so I am thinking from what people are saying you can just head back to the Queen’s Walk? Maybe we missed a pedestrian only option that goes west from London Bridge to the Globe.
