We are thinking of doing the 1 mile walk from Chipping Campden to Broad Campden on a Sunday late morning. Is there a good place to eat lunch on a Sunday in Broad Campden? On the internet I found The Bakers Arms. Is that good? Any other ideas? Thank you!!
Broad Campden is a place I have never spent any time despite many years living in and around the Cotswolds.. When we are in the area we tend to go to Hidcote.
Have a nice walk.
Fairly hilly in those parts. If you look zoomed in at Broad Campden you'll see that the pub and the church is about it. It is VERY small.
I don’t know it at all, but if you’re planning to eat at a pub in a village on a Sunday lunchtime - I suspect it’ll be serving Sunday Roast only (rather than, say, sandwiches and bar snacks), and you may be advised to book, depending on the date, time of year etc…
Oh, I’ve just checked - yes, it looks like quite a fancy pub serving a very nice-looking Sunday Roast menu so I think you should book a table.
Build up an appetite by walking there and back, then have lunch at the Eight Bells in Chipping Campden.
