I arrive at Heathrow the day before my Band of Brothers Tour starts at the Terminal 5 Sofitel Hotel. I was hoping to use some of that time after I arrive to visit the Ted Lasso sites in Richmond and maybe even enjoy a meal and a pint at the Prince's Head Pub. Google Maps suggests Bus 490. It also suggests Bolt ride service. Anyone here have experience with either option? Any comment on things like the cost, reliability, travel time, etc? Thanks in advance for any information.

Use the official London transportation site tfl.gov.uk. It has a route with a couple of changes but it also lists bus 490 from terminal 5 to the Richmond station. We did something similar last summer but from Ealing instead of Heathrow. It was a pleasant ride and I’d do it again using a bus. Enjoy beautiful, historic Richmond and your time seeing some Ted Lasso sites. The cost will be minimal and you can use your cc to tap on the bus.

Easy peasy 10 minute stroll to the Princes Head pub on Richmond Green from the bus station.
Been staying in the Richmond neighborhood with friends for a number of years. Very nice area.
Great dinners at The Dragon Inn. Good coffee at Butterbeans. Best pizza and pub dog at The Mitre.
