Has anyone visited Stonehenge on summer solstice, June 21? We’ll be in London that week and I’m wondering if there is anything different/unique that we may see if we visit on that day.

I think I saw that a special group usually has Solstice reserved. I might be mistaken, but I think visiting a less crowded time would be better anyway. Avebury is another "Henge" in the area that is worth seeing.

Last year it’s reported that there were 15,000 people there.

Lots of people go for the sunrise, including the Druids. I found a video of an American chap (who is living in England) at Stonehenge for the solstice -
