My husband and I will be on the Best of England tour and will be able to go to the theatre on Wednesday, May 16. Could anyone give advice on seats at the Vaudeville Theatre and the musical Six? We are also considering Hamilton, but the seats available are limited and I have read many reviews about how uncomfortable the seating is, especially for tall people (my husband, 6'1"). Any suggestions for our only show in London? Thank you.
This website is what you are looking for: https://www.theatremonkey.com/
It has seat plans, seating advice, and a ton of other useful information about all of the theatres in the West End.
Classic Victorian Theatre. I’d opt for seats in the 1st balcony, on the aisle a couple of row up.
You should also research to see if Witness for the Prosecution is still playing at County Hall. It’s performed in an actual court room. https://witnesscountyhall.com/
I will join Claudia in recommending Witness for the Prosecution, especially if you are concerned about seating comfort. The “courtroom” offers very nice, roomy seating with ample leg room. And the production is very entertaining.
Do consult Theatre Monkey for advice on choosing theatres and seats. I recall one theatre (but cannot remember the name) where the balcony seating was so steep it challenged my vertigo, and another that was very cramped even for smaller people like my husband and myself.
We saw SIX at the Vaudeville theater in October. It’s a small theater. We sat about 6 rows back from the stage in row E and the seats were fine. It was sold out so buy tickets early.
Another vote for Theatre Monkey's website for an overview of best/worst seats. I'm tall too and I usually find seats in the stalls a bit better than on balconies. On a balcony, the seat in front is obviously lower down meaning there is no room underneath to stick my feet while the angle of that seat back makes for less knee room.
Thank you so much for your suggestions. They were very helpful.
