Hi, myself/brother/nephew are big LFC fans and have been for years. My nephew was also a soccer player in HS and college. I have decided to take them (no spouses allowed) to LP next year. Trip will be London>Liverpool>Ridgewell (there’s a reason for Ridgewell). We’ll go probably late May or early June. They both work and so will probably only have 7-10 days total. I know we will want to do the Anfield tour in LP, but any other ideas? This will be a special trip just the three of us. Any ideas welcomed. P.S. they are also both musicians.
John Lennon’s home is now a National Trust property and is retained as a very classic late ‘60s home. Probably lots of Beatle tours. Don’t forget The Cavern where many Liverpool musicians got their starts. For Classical music check out the programming for the Liverpool Philharmonic.
We've been to Liverpool three times, all because of LFC, but have fallen in love with the city.
Here's a link to my trip report from our 2013 trip.

I have every confidence Liverpool will be back at the Champions League Final next end of May. Try to be in the city then; you might just end up with the experience of a lifetime -the victory parade!
Liverpool has Mersey Ferries, which I enjoyed a cruise on while I was there. Albert Dock is generally a nice place to hang around in. There’s also the Beatles Story and the Museum of Liverpool
That time of year there may be matches on - if not Liverpool then Tranmere or Southport. Don’t write off the lower leagues, they’re a different feel but to the fans it often means so much more.
If they’re sports fans in general then the rugby league season will be underway and there are teams close by in St Helens and Warrington, a simple 30-45mins on the train each way and the grounds are fairly close to the stations.
You could also head out to Manchester, again a shortish train journey. As well as the stadiums there’s the National Football Museum there, which I enjoyed visiting.
