I have a Capital One debit card with the Cirrus logo on the back. Are there Cirrus ATMs in England, Scotland, Ireland, and Northern Ireland for which I can use this card to access money? Thanks!
Ours worked fine last week in England, can't imagine it wouldn't at your other locations..
There will be plenty of Cirrus ATMs all over the UK - no worries!
They call them "cashpoints" over there. You'll be fine. Best to use one in front of, or inside, a staffed bank branch if possible. That way you can go inside if the machine eats your card, plus get change if it gives you unnecessarily large bills.
Dick,
Cash machines in the UK dispense £20, £10 and sometimes £5, that is hardly "unnecessarily large bills." £50 notes are the larges denomination and are known as "tourist money", because only tourists who change money at banks have them.
Note, in Britain they have "Banknotes" (or just plain "notes"). A bill is what you have to pay at the end of your hotel stay.
