I received this from the UK this morning:
From 9am Monday 28 February, passengers can fill in the UK passenger locator form up to 3 days before arrival in the UK.
It used to be 24 hours.

We were able to complete the PLF for Greece yesterday afternoon and we are not leaving until Thursday afternoon. I was a little amused by the tone of the email containing the QR code. It was almost apologetic.
Does that mean it has to be completed within 3 day of entry, or has to be completed 3 days or more before entry? “Up to” can be interpreted either way. I suspect the first one but just want to be sure.
If it has been “within” 24 hours of entry I can see why it would be extended. I see lots of complaints on Flyertalk about not being able to do online checking because their PLF hadn’t been reviewed yet, even though they sent it in.
Where does one find the form and where do you send it? Is it part of Verifly? Does one even need it if just transiting airside at Heathrow on the way to Rome?
Please forgive the questions but we are just starting to think about a trip to the UK and Italy in June. So I haven’t figured out things yet. And I know they may change.
The government website says to complete it “anytime in the 3 days before travel” so yes, your first thought is correct.

But if you are transiting airside and fully vaccinated, you do not need to fill it out.

You probably need one for Italy, though.
I am curious, as it has been awhile (pre-pandemic) since we last we flew BA:
Do our PLFs and scans of our vaccine cards now need to be uploaded to BA as part of our online check-in at (exactly, BA is fussy about this) 24 hours before our flight? Can they be added later, or are they just meant to be seen at the gate?
I need to know what BA now requires to complete online check-in, as I will be involved in a tournament bridge competition (qualifier for national event) online at the same time, and need an idea of how much time I will need for check-in and whether I will need a temporary substitute in the game. for a variety of reasons, the Verifly App cannot be used.
From what I have read on FlyerTalk, you can only do online-check in if you have filled out all you Advance Passenger Information ( passport details, etc.) and you have submitted the required Covid docs ( PLF, vac certificate, etc). But lots of people report trouble completing the API ( it gets rejected, or it is accepted and later disappear). And others have trouble with the covid docs even if they submitted them—- they weren’t reviewed.
But in either case,if online check-in doesn’t work, you can always do it the old-fashioned way at the airport. The problem with that is, if you haven’t paid to choose your seats, you won’t be able to do that til you check in at the airport, and most of the good ones will be gone.)
@Larry - prior to your flight BA will send you an email to add your flight in VeriFLY. By doing so you will be able to check in online. When you get to the airport the agent will ask you to verify your identity by opening the VeriFLY app. If you didn’t use VeriFLY and couldn’t check in online, you’ll need to show passport, CDC cards, and you PLF to the agent at the airport. Also, to fill out the PLF it was within 24 hours of your arrival time, so now it should be within 72 hours of arrival.
To note, add your flight into VeriFLY on whichever device you’ll use to verify your identity at the airport. I added mine using my tablet so couldn’t use my phone to verify myself at the counter, so I had to show the paperwork.. The email address you use when creating a VeriFLY account is only good for one device.
