Hi All, is there a safe, legit app for Android? The official Government App is only for Apple.
I've read there are some but more money vs the official one. But I'm more concerned about security. Or do I really need an App if I just get my official approval from the UK?
Am editing this as I read further and will just go thru got site. Don't really want another app lol.

The app is for processing your approval. Once your ETA is approved, it's part of the information associated with your passport. You don't need the app any longer.

We just got our approval a couple of days ago using the android app. You take a picture of your passport and of yourself which automatically load into the app (when you have a good image). Getting an acceptable selfie was a bit of a hassle. But overall pretty easy. I looked at the web site and it seems to be much more time consuming. I deleted the app once I had the approval which came in by email in about 5 minutes.

Also, the app popped up in the google play store with a search on "UK"
