I haven’t heard about this previously. I saw a recent article by the points guy. Sounds similar to what the US currently has in place and the EU is due to implement later this year. Scant details at this time. But reading between the lines it sounds like it might to be needed for each entry.

Yes - not an official site at all, which to be fair they do say albeit a bit buried away. Government site suggests by the end of 2024 but as this is the Home Office little is certain.
