UK cuts quarantine time to 10 days

People arriving in the UK from countries not on the travel corridor list--as in the USA--will now have to quarantine for 10 days rather than the previous required 14 days.

According to the article, only 2% of people who have Covid-19 can still spread the disease after 10 days.

You must mean “now have to quarantine for 10 days”, rather than “not have to quarantine . . “.

One part of the article says: "People who return from countries which are not on the travel corridor list should also self-isolate for 10 days instead of 14 days." Then, “People are most infectious around the time they first develop symptoms and, 10 days into an infection, only about 2% will still be capable of passing on the virus to others.”
