ubers and taxis in Bath?

Are there ubers in Bath? If not, is it easy to get a taxi/ Do you phone? Try to flag one down? Get an app? And will it be the same in other small cities?
Thanks in advance.

You won't be able to flag a taxi down on the street. You either need to go to a recognised taxi rank where taxis wait for a passenger OR ring up and ask for one to come and collect you. Some companies have an app.

Other small cities will have variable services. Try the Uber app and see if it works. Some places don’t have many taxis available. People on here will probably know if you tell us where you’re going.

In Bath, if you are staying in a hotel, they have a special phone set up with an app that calls a taxi for you. We used it several times a few weeks ago and it was quick and convenient. I think it was called Zettle.

I was in Bath two weeks ago and used Uber about 10 times (I had fallen and broke my big toe - a long story). I only met one bad-tempered driver who told me to handle my luggage myself. Which I can do, but he was quite abrupt. I most definitely didn't tip him but for all the others I did tip £2.00 on the app. if that is helpful to know.

For arrival at bus or train station, the taxi rank is just in front of the train station. The bus station is right next to the train station and easy walk to the taxi rank.
