We are thinking of getting an uber when we arrive at Heathrow because the drive will take around an hour and the trains will take 2 1/2 hours to where we are going.
Where exactly would we go to get an uber? Any issues with doing that?

Where exactly are you going? London city center or somewhere else? When/what time of day? If more than 45 days out you can get 10 pound discounted Heathrow Express tickets (could save time depending on where you are going). I use CityMapper to plot choices for transportation, it's pretty accurate.

I doubt that you will get any sensible responses to this unless you tell us where it is you need to get to. It can’t be anywhere in central London.

You can get Uber and there is a specific pick up area at each terminal. You won't know the price until you order the Uber.
However, there is another way. A hired car and driver. You arrange this online and know the price when you make the reservation. They will meet you as you exit Customs and walk you to your car.
If you tell us where you are going, we might be able to suggest reliable companies.

According to Uber's website, the cost today from Heathrow Airport to Arundel ranges between £87-135. More for higher class service.
