Uber and Heathrow

Just wondering if anyone has taken an Uber from Heathrow to the Westminster area. We've used Blackberry in the past. Not sure it's worth the wait and hassle of calling after you land. Thanks!

Uber hasn’t been that successful in London environs.

Why not consider purchasing Heathrow Express tix 2-3 months out, arrive at Paddington and follow the directions to the upper level taxi station. Yes, Black cabs aren’t cheap but the cabs are large enough for you and your luggage and the driver’s are professional and knowledgeable. I like to believe they still have to take and pass The Knowledge but as London has changed over the years that might not still be required to get a cab license.

What is the problem with Blackberry? Looks like you make a reservation for pickup at a specified time after landing.( You get to figure out how long it will take to get through border formalities), but a flight delay does not count against your free waiting time.

3.2 Waiting time for all meets apart from airport pickups will be free for the first 15 minutes. Thereafter waiting will be charged at a rate of £1.50 per 5 minutes. For airport pickups the first 1 hours waiting time after your selected pickup time will be free of charge. Thereafter waiting time will be charge at £1.50 per 5 minutes. Flight delays will not incur waiting time charges, these charges apply from the time your flight lands. ( https://www.blackberrycars.com/terms-conditions/)
