Has any one used Uber in London? And if you did how did it go?
I have found the cabs in London to be reasonably priced. I am interested in the "attraction" of uber for people. Is the price of the fare so much cheaper that it is worth it to ride with unregulated and unscreened drivers? What is the appeal of Uber for people?
Uber in the UK operates as a licensed private car provider and therefore is not 'unregulated', nor are its drivers who also need a Private Hire licence from the local authority as do the cars.
same in France.
Except uber pop.
Interestingly, not 10 minutes ago I was catching up on back issues of Watchdog, a BBC consumer protection show and they were focussing on a lot of people who had had their accounts charged for a lot of journeys they never made.
I really don't trust them.... others seem to love them...
It's not just the UK which have had phantom charges for some users. Whether it is simple password cracking, details being bought etc isn't clear.
