A question for you Londoners, please. Does anyone know when they might be doing the practice runs? Will be in town all that week and might stop by if I know when it's happening. Thanks!

Thanks, Nigel. I've been to Beating Retreat and have tickets again this year for Wednesday night. Is that basically a practice run for the Saturday event? I thought Saturday might be even more elaborate. I actually like the BR because it was shorter, cooler, and less formal, but thought I might pass by the parade grounds if I knew they were practicing for the big event and I were in the area.

Nigel, I think I just figured out that the Colonel's Review on Saturday, June 1, IS the practice run. Right??

We were there the day of a practice. The stands were closed and the area was roped off. All we could see was the rear end of the horses.
