Trip to England in June or July

We are thinking of going to England in either June or July. We will take our grown son for the first time. We plan to spend about 4 days in London and then take the Eurostar to Paris. In the U.S. where I live some of the businesses went out of business during the pandemic. I don't know what to expect there. Would appreciate any thoughts you have. Thanks.

Some businesses, particularly retailers have gone to the wall, but in a place as big and vibrant as London, this isn’t going to be as obvious as in the less wealthy, smaller, rural or coastal towns.

It’s impossible to say this far out what the Covid protocols will be - at present, masks should be worn on public transport, but from what I understand, few are obeying the rules.

Museums are open - some require pre booked slots, some don’t.

I'm pretty sure it's spam, she's spreading it on several posts. Sometimes in english, sometimes not.

Thanks for all your comments. I am now leaning toward the UK. My husband and I have been 26 times and still haven't seen it all. We drove for many years. The last few years we've taken trains. Our grown son is going with us this time - he's never been. We thought we would spend several days in London showing him the top sites. Then we would take the train to Edinburgh. We were there many years ago, and I think it's a nice place with great museums and history. We would take a one day train ride to (can''t remember the name) - something on Tyne. Was in Scotland part of the time and then England. Thought it would be good to show our son something smaller. We would spend about 2.5 weeks. Does this sound like a good trip. Any other suggestions? Thanks!!
