Travelodge Hotels London

Hi,

Thinking about going to London sometime in September and looking for good buget accomodations. Looking here and over on Trip Advisor I've read and looked at Traveloge Hotels. Wondering if anyone has stayed here while in London? Which location did you prefer? Were you satisfied with your choice?

Thanks,
Wendy

We always stay at Travelodge hotels, www.travelodge.co.uk. Register on the site and you will get deals on rooms for as low as 19 GBP. We prefer Marleybone since it's right across the street from the large Marleybone rail and tube station. We have stayed in Kings Cross, near Tower Bridge, and at Heathrow as well. They are always clean and comfy and we once scored rooms for only 9 GBP which made a 5 day stay only 45 GBP total! They will have many deals between now and September. Premier inns is another bargain chain but we've not used them.

Travelodges are great value as long as you know that you are getting a budget product for a bargain price. There's a clean bed, private bathroom, and your own door on an inside hallway. If you want extras, you can pay for extras, but they'll loan you a hairdryer from the front desk. Bring your own shampoo/conditioners. I would not recommend the breakfast bag - you'll do better to take that money and buy a Weatherspoons breakfast. And then chuckle gleefully that you paid so little to stay in such a marvellous city!
