Traveling solo London, okay this summer with no a.c.?

I would appreciate suggestions on budget places to stay for a solo traveler,

Normally I have had good experiences in en suite dorm rooms, especially since I don't like paying for a huge english breakfast that I can't eat. It is usually a bad deal for me as a vegan and light eater.

Last year I got caught in the heat wave and absolutely needed to get into air conditioning. Weather reactive asthma is no fun; mine is mild, but it was getting bad in the heat. Easyhotel was at that point great, but I do not really want to go back again.

Any suggestions? Would you risk no a.c. this summer? I found just one other acceptable place with a.c.
Normally London is just perfect for me in July an August, but.....

We always get a London room with air conditioning. We have been to London many times and only twice we were very happy to have it. Most of the time the weather is not that hot but I don't think you can know for sure. Given your asthma, it might be worth pursuing a place with AC just in case. Not sure what your price range is.

I would go with getting AC. I was in London the first week of Sept when it was still very hot. I had not booked lodging with AC and regretted it even for the few nights before it cooled off. If you had issues last summer, you can insure it will be chilly and rainy if you book AC this year and hot, hot, hot if you don't! lol
