Travelcard Zone Extension - How much more would I pay?

Does anyone know how much more I gonna pay for travelcard zone extension? I am planning to buy a 7 day travelcard for zone 1-2 at £33, but I am planning to travel to places like the Windsor Castle, Hampton Court and Bath (all of which are out of zone 1-2). I am trying to calculate whether it is more worth it to buy a zone 1-6 travelcard, or to buy a zone 1-2 travelcard while paying for extensions.
Grateful if you could let me know where to locate such information. Thank you!

Transport for London

Hampton Court is in Zone 6 but Windsor and Bath are outside of the Travelcard zones. (Bath is halfway across the country.)

Don't buy a zone 6 card. Just pay the extra for your visit to Hampton Court.

It is possible to buy tickets from the boundary of a travelcard zone to somewhere outside of it (eg BZ2-Bath). However, for something as close in as Zone 2 it won't save much and buying an Advance would be cheaper.

To handle everything easiest, I would suggest getting the Travel card loaded onto an Oyster and adding a few Pounds as Oyster money. What this gets you is your Travel Card covers most of your transit without you paying more. When you do stray outside zones 1 & 2, the Oyster picks up and you pay the absolute minimum for that excursion. (Not sure how much a Travel Card extension would cost you.) Still doesn't cover Windsor or Bath, which are train trips requiring a separate ticket each.

Just to clarify - if I have a valid 7 day Travelcard for Zone 1 and 2, and I am traveling to Watford Junction and Hampton Court (which are in London), I can pay for zone extension rather than buying a separate train ticket. However, for places that are not in London, such as Windsor and Bath, I have to purchase a separate ticket. Is my understanding correct? Thank you!

Not clear whether you are planning to have the travelcard on paper or Oystercard.

If the latter then you need a pay as you go balance loaded as well as the travelcard. Then the barrier will deduct the additional fare as you leave. Make sure you have enough on before you start though.

If it is on paper, or if you are travelling outside the area where Oyster is accepted such as Windsor or Bath then you will need to buy a separate paper ticket. I wouldn't bother to Bath; just buy an Advance. It may be worth it to Windsor.
