Are you departing International from LHR?

If so you need to be there by 1400.

There is a bus #808 ex Otterburn (Percy Arms) at 0700 Monday to Friday, arrives Newcastle Airport at 0738 and Newcastle Haymarket Bus Station at 0803.

BA flights to LHR depart at 0600- arrive 0720, on some days around 0900, and between 1100 and 1200, depending on the day of the week.

Otherwise it is an early train from Newcastle.

The 0858 from Newcastle arrives KC at 1149, add 1 hour to LHR= 1300 arrival time, so 1 hour in hand. I'd be biting my nails all the way on that train.

Morpeth and Corbridge are both closer stations, but that would be a connection to NCL (adding to the risk) and you would need a taxi to either.

I would either do this journey the night before or book a connecting flight from Newcastle if possible, then it’s on them if the connections mess up. It’s a long way by public transport, or any transport, and things can go wrong.

Nor would I attempt this the same day.

And where are you travelling? Is there any way you can change it to a ticket from e.g. Edinburgh or Manchester.

Yep, leaving Northumberland the day before and staying at a hotel near the airport!

If you're taking the train south the day before you really don't need to be at Heathrow the night before. A hotel next to King's Cross would allow you some time in town on the evening before and even time to do something on the morning of the flight.

Well in that case you don't need to be up with the larks.

You can catch the 2nd and last bus of the day- the #131 (which has come from Jedburgh) at 0950 (Monday to Saturday). That bus terminates at Newcastle Central Station (so you don't have to cross town) at 1100.

It is run by an operator called Peter Hogg. Then catch a lunchtime train to Kings Cross.

For the benefit of others there is a flight direct to Orlando from Newcastle, and connections to European hub airports like Amsterdam, as well as to Heathrow.
You do not have to use Manchester or Edinburgh for Northumberland.

Love the idea for staying at Kings Cross. Would like to see more of the area!!
