Hi - our hotel is near Victoria Station. What is the best way to get there and back again from Heathrow? I wouldn't mind taking the tube but it seems that we would have to transfer lines and walk up steps with luggage. If this is true, what is the most economical way besides the tube?
How many people? Other options include the Heathrow Connect or Express to Paddington and then a taxi, or a car service.
If you take the tube, you can transfer at Hammersmith. There are no steps there when you transfer. You simply get off the train and walk to the other side of the platform to board a district train. When you arrive at Victoria, you will encounter some steps to get out of the station.
There are three of us. We're staying at the Premier Inn Victoria - at Eccleston Square.
Which terminal at Heathrow?
Last time we stayed near Victoria station, we took a double-decker bus from the Heathrow bus station to Victoria Station. We sat on the top deck and had a great view of London as we drove in. It was pleasant and not expensive.
Oh that's neat! I didn't know you could catch the tour buses at Heathrow. I think when I checked it said terminal 3. We're arriving fron NY JFK in July.
It is not a tour bus, it is a National Express coach. But not expensive.
