Have a 4pm departure from LHR back to the US. We will be in Stratford and prefer departure from LHR and not Birmingham UK
How long does it take by train and does the train go directly to the airport??
Thanks!

See this thread. There is no direct train from Stratford upon Avon to Heathrow. You will have to change at least once, maybe up to three times. But it can be done.
Thank you so much for the train info. Do you know what it would cost just for a taxi? From Stratford upon avon to LHR? And approx time? Most likely longer in time due to traffic? Your thoughts?
Marco, in the linked thread, said he found a quote of 110 pounds for a taxi. (I don't know if that's a standard price or if you need to shop around to find it.) Google Maps gives a driving time of 1 hour and 38 minutes for the fastest route.
Alternatively get a train or taxi from Stratford to Oxford, and then take one of the frequent "Airline" coaches from central Oxford to Heathrow.
£110 is my estimate of a guide price to judge quotes against. I wouldn't expect it to be much cheaper and some firms could well be more, particularly if they run more 'executive' a standard of car.
A car to Oxford I would expect to be disproportionately more expensive, simply because of the unlikeliness of a balancing ride In the other direction.
