Hi,
I need help planning transportation to Southampton from our hotel in London. What's the most efficient/cheapest? We have luggage for the cruise. Thanks
We will be coming from 252 Franciscan Road SW17 8 HF.
We will be coming from 252 Franciscan Road SW17 8 HF. We plan to travel after lunch.Thanks.
By public transport
Walk to Tooting Broadway Tube station and take the tube to Waterloo.
Then, train from Waterloo to Southampton Central
Either book on https://www.southwesttrains.co.uk/ or
https://uk.megabus.com/megatrain.aspxMegatrain use the same trains as southwestern but tickets can be a
lot cheaper.Taxi from Southampton Central to the port.
Have you considered a private transfer? So easy and stressless, especially with luggage. Google private transfers ...... most are not prohibitively expensive. Two years ago we used a private transfer from Gatwick to the Southampton hotel we used before the cruise. Couldn't have been more pleased.
Last October we sailed from Southampton to New York. One phone call to our cruise line, in this case Cunard, was all it took for them to book our transportation to the pier. We took a coach from the Victoria Coach Station to the ship. It was kind of fun, riding the bus. The price was 50GBP per person, plus whatever the cab cost from near the Borough Market.
