We are 3 adults and one teenager flying on Aer Lingus into Heathrow (looks like to terminal 1?) arriving around 5pm on a Saturday. What would be the best way to get from Heathrow to Bath? rick

You could take the bus from Heathrow to Reading and catch the train from there. Or hop on the Heathrow Express (more expensive option) which takes you to Paddington Station and then you can get on the train to Bath from there. http://www.heathrowairport.com/transport-and-directions/buses-and-coaches/rail_air-buses

If you haven't already booked, consider a flight to Bristol instead of Heathrow - take the coach to Bristol Temple Meads then the train to Bath.
The other option from Heathrow is one of the direct National Express coaches, which has the advantage of no changes. Would need to wait until 18:45 as previous one is 17:15.
