Transportation from Heathrow Airport

Hello, could anyone please advise me of the easiest way to get from Heathrow to my hotel ( Premier Inn London King's Cross )
Thank you in advance of any help you may provide.

Just returned from there last week. :) I took the tube from Covent Garden (Central London) to Heathrow in about 50 minutes or so. It is the most convenient and cheapest option available. There are trains going to terminals 1, 2, 3 & 5 regularly, then for terminal 4 there are specific ones (since it is in a separate loop). Just one thing to note, some of the signs saying where the train was going did not match the actual train arriving, so double check that you don't end up on a different one!

The typical modes to and from Heathrow in rough order of cost are tube, Heathrow Express (generally considered poor value on most travel boards I visit), minicab, dedicated car service like the highly-regarded Blackberry, black cab.

At the end of last week there was a train derailment of some sort that really disrupted going from the airport to London. If you are planning to go in the near future you might want to check the current status.

Emma, I was not familiar with the details of the derailment disruption. Thanks for the clarification.

Service at Paddington were effectively back to normal today.

The Heathrow Express can make sense if staying in the Paddington area, and booking ahead can make it less than £6 a ride at the weekend. The former does not apply here.

We returned from London yesterday. Used Heathrow Express to Paddington Station & then Underground 2 stops to our hotel. Would definitely use that method again.

you won't find queues of minicabs waiting like cabs for passengers at Heathrow or anywhere else.

Minicabs can ONLY accept pre-booked customers, not fares off a rank.

You only say in all of your posts to take one of those two companies. Which one do you work for? Or are you freelance and take whichever app contacts you first?

As Emma suggested, to get to Kings Cross, take the Piccadilly line. Once you get on, you don't get off until your destination. No changes. It will most likely be faster than any taxi or car due to the traffic in the area.

The Piccadilly line will also be the cheapest. I suggest you buy an Oyster card at Heathrow since you will probably use it during your stay. It will save you money beginning with your trip from Heathrow. If you don't want to keep it, you can return it back at Heathrow when you leave and get the £5 you paid for the card returned to you.
