I will be arriving in London in April at 10 AM. What would be the best way for me to get to Kings Cross St Pancras station fro Gatwick Airport?

I did this trip yesterday. 2-3 trains per hour, takes 50-60 minutes (a bit of a slow train). Cost £10.40
The only catch is to check you buy a ticket "not including underground". The machine will by default try to sell you a ticket using the Gatwick Express, then the underground, which costs more.

You can buy the ticket online in advance, then enter a code emailed to you at a kiosk to get the paper ticket.

Thanks for the information. It was very helpful. We have an early flight out of Gatwick at 7:10am. Any recommendations for returning to Gatwick Airport?
