Need advice on how to get from Dover cruise port to London. Thanks for any advice.
The fastest journey to central London is by train. You can search for times and prices here:

For info on other options the following webpage provides a good summary:

Take a taxi from the port to the train station and train to London. Very easy to do. You will probably have plenty of company.
You need to take a taxi to Dover Priory rail station.
You have numerous route options depending on where in London you are heading. There are fast trains (HS1) into St Pancras or slower trains into Charing Cross, Waterloo East, London Bridge, Cannon Street or Victoria. If you are staying near any of the latter stations, you may want to consider getting the slower trains, as you will avoid having to get across London by underground with your luggage, so your total transfer time could be similar. The slower trains are cheaper.
The train operator is southeasternrailway.co.uk.
No doubt the cruise ship offers a transfer to London for a hefty price, and some people find it worth the money for an easy, trouble-free transfer.
I assume this is just a day trip with no luggage? Because if you are going to London with a lot of luggage, the train would be more difficult.
Thanks to all of you for your reply. We are cruising and only have one day to get to London and back by 7:00. I know it's not nearly enough time to see much but did want to take advantage of the day. Thanks again.
Once you get on the train at Dover Priory settle in because you will soon be at Ashford International where you will join the high speed Javelin service on HS1 to St Pancras International. That's the same line which Eurostar flies along on, and at the same speed. It is the quickest way into London. Pop onto the Tube at St Pancras and you can get anywhere. Same thing in reverse at the end.
19:00 (7pm) is an early time to be back.
Is it really worth the time crunch?
