Transportation during strike 10/1-10/7

Seeking advice!
Pulling my hair out trying to decide the best option for transport, because the 4 day Britrail pass isn't looking smart in light of the strikes.

We land at about 8 am 10/1 at Heathrow and going to Bath. We had planned to take Heathrow express to Paddington station, but wonder if now (with strike) we should prebook on a bus.

We are also planning to take the train from Bath to Salisbury for the day on 10/2 or 10/3. We will then need transport back to London on 10/4. This is the trip that worries me on the train. We will have luggage, of course. Should I book a bus for that day instead of trying the train?

Thank you!

There will be trains to Bath, even on the strike days there is an hourly service 8am to 6pm.

And on 1 October there may be a slightly spotty service, but it will.be at least hourly, likely close to normal.

Bath to Salisbury is fine as a day trip on 2 or 3- it is only an overtime ban, most trains will run. Even if only half a service it will still be hourly.
Don't leave it too late to return on 3 October, in case. Aim to be back by 6pm.

On 4 October there will be a basic hourly train service to London from Bath, so basically don't panic.
Timetables should be out sometime this weekend.

Panic has set in in a very powerful way. Our arrival date is of course October 4 mid morning. We are staying in an air B&B near Tower Bridge. Please tell me how best to get from T5 at LHR to our accommodation? Considering booking at Premier at airport if we can’t reasonably get to our flat.

The Elizabeth Line will be open- take it all the way from T5 to Liverpool Street Station. From there I would walk, personally, even with luggage. Depending slightly where it was it would only be 10 to 15 minutes walking.
But if you wanted to take a cab there is a taxi rank at Liverpool Street.

The other option is National Express coaches to Victoria Coach Station. Catch a red London bus #11 outside the coach station front door to anywhere between Trafalgar Square and St Paul's Cathedral, then at the same stop switch to a #15 bus which takes you to Tower Hill tube, with a free sightseeing tour thrown in!
The other option is to get off the #11 at Parliament Square, and take a Thames Clipper waterbus from Westminster Pier to Tower Pier.

Thank you so much. I think the river sounds best since our flat is 10 min walk. But I’m putting your comments in my trip notes. Judy
