Yes. Thanks.. Has anyone used Twelve Transfers? Any feedback?

I use Simply Airports. Other companies people recommend are Just Airports, BlackBerry Cars, Parker Car Service, and Addison Lee.

Although I have not yet used them, I have booked transportation both to and from Heathrow via Blackberry Cars. The price was good and they appear to have an excellent reputation. I can tell you that they have been very responsive to my various questions. I think the current rate to Heathrow is something like £49. This is for 2 people with 2 checked bags plus carry-ons. They have a user-friendly site and you can see their prices easily.

We've used Blackberry Cars on occasion and were very satisfied with their services, prompt if not early arrival, and professional driver.

I haven't used Twelve Transfers.

My only advice, based on experience, is to get a very clear statement, before you get into the car, of exactly what the fare is going to be. And if you intend to pay by credit card, that the driver will accept it. (The latter isn't my experience but I've read horror stories on this and other forums . . . )

In my case, I must have lost my common sense and replaced it with stupidity that day. I allowed my nice hotel guy (actually a very good little hotel in Bloomsbury) to arrange a cab to take me to Paddington the day I left. Having taken a black cab from Paddington on arrival, I didn't bother to ask the fare although the guy who showed up was not driving a black cab. The guy was rude, I didn't see any indicia in the car that he was licensed as any kind of taxi driver, and the fare was more than I'd paid the black cab. A mistake I'm not likely to make again, and I'm glad it wasn't an airport trip so I wasn't out a lot of money over it.

And the price they quote is the price you pay. Highly recommend. My B&B owner was even surprised at how good the price was, £10 less than what their service was offering. I've never used a London based transfer service but one company that repeatedly crops up with good reviews (I've never heard a negative) is Blackberry Cars.
