Hello, knowledgeable ones. The husband's forebears were McLeods, and we would like to visit Dunvegan Castle while we are in Scotland without a car in September. We will be in Inverness, and I planned a small-bus tour to Skye for the day, but none of the tours appear to go to the Waternish Peninsula, just the Trotternish, along with assorted other sites. Does anyone know of a tour that stops and lets you tour Dunvegan Castle? Are there local people who would meet us at Kyle of Lochalsh and drive us around without costing a fortune? Is this just a pipe dream, and my stay-at-home sister-in-law is fated to be disappointed by our failure to bring back a photo of the Fairy Flag? Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
And if this has already been covered in some other string, please advise on how to search the forum. I am new and clueless!
Lora
