My son will be flying from Copenhagen to Chicago, changing planes at Heathrow. I know that England is not one of the Schengen countries. Does that mean he will have to go through passport control at Heathrow just to board his connecting flight? He has an hour and 45 minutes connection time and just want to make sure he won't run into problems. Looks like both flights are in terminal 2.
No, as long as he stays airside. But he will have to go through security again at Heathrow.
(There are also direct flights between Chicago and Copenhagen.)
