Train from London to Windsor

Hi,
I'll be in London in August. Friends and I plan to travel to Windsor Castle. The times I've been to Windsor before have been by bus. I would like to go by train. Looks like leaving from Paddington with one change , arriving at Windsor Central , best option.
My question is should I get tickets ahead , and can they be printed or just get on day traveling. See anytime return 14 pounds today. At station would they also be that price . I'm doing all the planning for the trip so trying to get everything planned out ahead of time.
Thanks, Sharon

If the ticket you looked at is for today then it will be the same price at the station. The price of a ticket depends how far in advance it's bought rather than where you bought it from.

Tickets bought online in advance can be collected at the station. You can do this at a ticket machine by entering a reference number you were given upon purchase, or by going to a manned ticket kiosk. You will need to bring the credit card you bought the tickets with.

Make sure you go to Windsor & Eaton Central...unless you fancy a long walk up the hill.

just buy on the day - no savings to be made by buying ahead
