Can someone help me with this - I'm not sure I'm viewing it correctly. I want to get a feel for schedules and costs for a train from London to Machynlleth Wales. It wouldn't be until next June (and I know the schedules don't go that far out) but how expensive is it to take a trip like that when I assume June is in peak season. My husband and I were supposed to make that trip from Bridgnorth a couple weeks ago, but he got sick. Next June we will probably be taking our grandson and thought of this as a possibility, but it might cost too much? Thanks.
Booking today for travel 12 weeks ahead (16 Aug) you can get an Advance ticket for £29. The walk-up price of an Off-Peak ticket costs £70, while an Anytime ticket costs £132.
Make sure you book about 12 weeks ahead for the cheap Advance tickets.
Thanks so much for this information!
Prices are not seasonal, but the allotted number of cheap seats can sell out faster on popular dates and routes.
