That's a long ride, so we recommend flying, unless you are stopping to see a few cities along the way, such as Paris or Brussels and a stop in Germany. Train ticket prices will depend how far ahead you book them, with cheaper rates sold 3-4 months ahead for some legs. Are you training it for the experience? We love train travel.including sleeping on the train. We would bring along a picnic and wine plus snacks and settle in for a nice journey. The stops, starts & noises of a train are no problem for me & my husband.

It is a 17 hr & 23 minute trip with a nights sleeping on the train - I would also go for the Deluxe sleeper compartment with ensuite.
