Traveling from London to Edinburgh in August (with a 2 year old). Looks like train tickets are considerably cheaper when going from London to York/York to Edinburgh. Anyone have experience with this? The cheapest tickets allow only a 12 minute transfer time in York. For those who have transferred there, does that seem like enough time? Thanks!
London to Edinburgh from £25
I'm very surprised that breaking your journey in York would be cheaper - when are you travelling?
We are traveling in August. It's £ 12 to York and then £.27 more to Edinburgh whereas it is £.55 direct from London.
what time and day are you travelling?
if you have found a cheaper fare then good.
12 minutes would be enough but what if your first train is late?
