Train from Heathrow to Liverpool Lime Street Station

We are arriving Heathrow on September 2, 2023 at 7:40 am. and going to Liverpool Lime Street Station. What is easiest way to do that by train?

Elizabeth Line and Tube to London Euston, then an Avanti West Coast train to Liverpool.
As it's a Saturday you may find that tickets are not released until well into the nominal 12 week booking period.

Thank you. That confirms my research. Also, would you be able to recommend a mid price hotel in Liverpool that is easily walked to from train station.

Can you not fly in to Manchester?

Perhaps they don't want to, or Manchester doesn't wotrk for them....

It's more budget than mid-range but you really can't fault the Premier Inn Liverpool City Centre (Lime Street)- it is literally across the road from Lime Street station. A really good location for the local and long distance trains and for the City Centre. You can upgrade to the new 'Premier Plus' Rooms, and the PI breakfast will set you up for the day.

For hotels, you might look at Quest . It’s an apartment hotel setup.

You can also look at the more budget Ibis Styles Dale Street

I also like the Z Hotel, the rooms are very small, however.

They’re all an easy walk from Lime Street Station and convenient to most tourist attractions.

Yes, Manchester would be a better option, but we are meeting friends in Liverpool. Thank you for hotel ideas.

There are direct trains (no changes) from Manchester Airport to Liverpool Lime Street. About 90 minutes. The actual schedule nor fares are out yet for a September train.

For hotels, check out the Resident Liverpool for a wonderful hotel at a reasonable price. I've stayed there and I'll stay there again.
