Train from Gatwick to Bath Spa sold out online

The one transfer train to Bath Spa from Gatwick is sold out online.
Does that mean that all of the train tickets are sold out or only the presale tickets?
The other option is a two transfer train ticket through London, but it only gives us 8 minutes for a transfer in Farrington station.

Our trip is in seven weeks.
Would we be able to purchase the train tickets in person once there or at least get a later departure transfer in Farrington?

That is impossible. Trains in the UK do not sell out. There is a half hourly train from Gatwick to Reading, change for Bath. There isn't even assigned seating

Then Reading to Bath is also every half hour.

There may be some other issue like planned engineering which means that tickets are not yet open- what is your travel date?

Via Farringdon it doesn't matter whether you miss a train as Elizabeth Line trains are literally every couple of minutes.

You don't know whether your flight will be on time so buying Advance (train specific) tickets is a gamble. Yes you can and should just buy on the day.

Any ticket is not train specific Gatwick to Farringdon, or Farringdon to Paddington, only Paddington to Bath.

Thank you.

Our travel date is July 19th.
I wanted to purchase the train ticket in advance online at nationalrail.co.uk.
I was then transferred to GWR which informed me that the ticket was no longer available.
These particular tickets are apparently assigned seating.

It is good to know that we can just purchase our tickets at the train station when we arrive.

Are you going to return to Gatwick from Bath? If so, it might be better for you to purchase return tickets - Super Off Peak Returns can be had for £78.10 for each person (no Railcard discount). (Only valid on the Gatwick to Reading direct route via Guildford - which saves you the hassle of London).

If you are going to return to London (Paddington) from Bath, you could use the return portion as far as Reading but then need one way tickets to PAD and another ticket to Gatwick if intending to stay in London.

Try playing around with this site as if you scroll down - it shows you all the fare options and the trains that count as off peak etc.
Even though not travelling with Scotrail, they can still sell you the tickets.https://www.buytickets.scotrail.co.uk

I have broken this journey down into its two constituent parts (and checked the GWR Engineering Schedule) and there is no evidence of engineering work that day.
Not all trains which have Advance train tickets have assigned seating - I am sure the North Downs Line (Gatwick to Reading) is among those.
I have checked for this morning (which I know is a Sunday) and even buying on the day you couldn't pay full fare if you tried due to the existence of last minute Advance (train specific cheaper) tickets available until 5 minutes before departure.
Not as cheap as buying now, but not full fare either.

Thank you for the information.

We don't need return tickets.
Our tour begins in Bath, so we will have transportation for the rest or our trip ending in London.

I don't mind paying full fare price just as long as we know we will be able to get a train ticket to Bath Spa through Reading from Gatwick Airport.
