I already bought the Tower of London tickets online. Was planning on about 3.5 hours for that. For the Tower Bridge, can you go up and walk across the glass floor to other side without buying a ticket? Not sure if it is worth buying a ticket. Was thinking about after going to the Tower of London, walk to the other side to Borough Market for lunch, then do the Tour of bridge tour if recommended.
No you cannot. Requires a Tower Bridge Experience ticket.
Why not see if the Bridge Lift schedule fits into your time frame? https://www.towerbridge.org.uk/lift-times
Borough Market can get extremely crowded. Depends on how much you like crowds in making your choice where to go first. You could also check to see if Maltby Market is open during your visit.
Touring on Dec 27th. No bridge lift. Do you start the tour on the bridge side with the Tower of London?
Thanks for the info. I was trying to decide what time slot to buy the tickets for and whether to tour before eating on Boroughs side.
Borough market does get very busy and crowded. During non holiday periods it’s quieter on weekdays but I’m not sure it will be so the day you’ll be there. So depending on timing I would have lunch prior to the bridge. If you want Italian Padella is very popular. Always a line to get in. There’s also a tapas restaurant nearby.
Yes, join the tour at the North West Tower- see here for full details- https://www.towerbridge.org.uk/your-visit/visitor-information
Note that Borough Market is closed on 27 December- https://boroughmarket.org.uk/events/christmas-opening-times-2023/
Keep checking in case a short notice bridge lift is added at some stage during your stay in London- either on 27 December, or some other date.
Just know that if you go to Borough Market in the afternoon it will be extremely crowded. Am when the stalls are just opening is least crowded.
