Tower bridge and other high places in London

We like to climb stairs to high viewpoints. Is Tower Bridge worth a visit? Are there stairs, or do we have to take an elevator?

Are there other high viewpoints you can suggest, with stairs? We have been up on St. Paul's and loved that. Not interested in the London Eye at all. Thanks.

There's stairs in the north tower of the bridge.

The Monument is all stairs.

The Mittal Orbit over at the Olympic park.
Think theres the option to climb the 455stairs rather than the lift.

Darn! Big Ben would be perfect! Bell towers are our favorite. I wonder if UK residents can take a guest? The O2 Arena looks cool but £26 each is a bit steep. We'd have to give up our bottle of wine and half our dinner to afford that.

I believe I have looked into the Shard and there is only the elevator, at least for public visits.

Guess we will return to St. Paul's, and try the Tower Bridge.

Now I would like to ask the same question for Edinburgh, but I guess I have to go to the Scotland forum for that. Grrrr.
