I'll be traveling to London at the end of November with two kids (ages 11 and 9). I was thinking that they might be interested in the tour at Tower Bridge. Does anyone have any thoughts on that tour?
My daughter really wants to go up on the London Eye. Should I purchase tickets ahead of time or wait for good weather and buy them right on the spot? I hear that it sells out sometimes, but what about late November?
Haven’t done the Eye but the kids will love it!
Also consider going into the The Tate Modern and going up in the lift to the viewing platform. Amazing views and no glass in the way plus you can choose to go when the weather is good as no booking necessary and it’s free

Also Tower Bridge has the glass walk way that my step son loved!
When we went on the Eye a few years ago, in mid-December, there was virtually no line. Walked right up and bought tickets, then walked right on. As Emma stated, wait to ensure the weather is good. If you decide to do the Sky Garden, tickets are free, but you need to get them ahead of time, online. Entrance is open to anybody without tickets after 9:30pm. We got in line at 9pm and believe we made it to the top by 10pm. We haven’t done the Tower Bridge tour.
My kids loved the eye. We did it in June 2018. I booked tickets in advance, but it turned out to be an overcast day and there was no line when we got there. The view was still spectacular and we enjoyed it very much.
Beware that although there are walk-up times for the Sky Garden, after 6pm there are age restrictions, it used to be 18, but now it's 16 and a smart casual dress code, I saw someone in the 6pm evening queue, refused entrance because they had sportswear on.
Taken from the Sky Garden FAQs
Children under 16 are not able to enter Sky Garden after 6pm on weekdays and 9pm on weekends
If you are dining in Darwin Brasserie or Fenchurch Restaurant, parties with guests under 16 will have to make their way directly to the restaurant
