Thanks, I was unaware of this specific tour and have bookmarked it for future travels. I go to UK every couple years and am always looking for something I have not yet done. Last visit 2 years ago I took the Hidden Highlights tour of Westminster Abbey and saw the new Queen's Gallery there. I really enjoyed that and I'd been to the Abbey several times on previous trips.

I took the Tour of the State Apartments of the Speakers House in August 2023. I enjoyed it very much. I was tired because I did the 75 min tour of the Houses of Parliament before the State Apartments tour (my feet were hurting some from walking a lot that day). I obtained a better perspective of the Speakers of the House from the early days of Parliament. The specific tour guide might make a difference; I don't remember the name of the tour guide that I had then.

I have done both tours, on separate visits to London, and the Speaker's Apartments (Sept 2023) was really quite fascinating--apparently sometimes Sir Lindsay Hoyle wanders through, though no one engages with him. The rooms on display are full of wonderfully interesting things and whatever purpose they serve is explained, with plenty of good anecdotes to boot. I'd be hard-pressed to say which tour I enjoyed more.
