I am trying to decide whether to book tours in either of these sites. I understand I have to take a tour if I visit the Parliament on the weekend. What about Monday late there? Will there be an advantage going late to see a house in debate? I know I can listen to Rick’s audio guides. If you have taken a tour in either place, would you please provide some feedback? Thank you.

We did the guided parliament tour in summer 2022 and it was fantastic!
We did the Verger tour at Westminister Abbey and thought it was well worth it. I must admit I much prefer a live guide to a head set. You may not feel the same.
We visit Westminster Abbey every trip we take to London but have never have taken any tours, visit places independently.
We went to see Parliament in session many years ago on our own.
I visited Westminster Abbey on my own, and in the past 2 years visited Parliament twice; first was a guided tour of the Palace of Westminster that was excellent, about 90 minutes through both Houses with a very informative guide. Last year I did a tour that I don't see offered right now, might depend on time of year, but the Speaker's Apartments tour was even more fascinating. I would love to see a debate and hopefully will manage that on a future visit.
We did the Verger tour at Westminster and it was great!
I have visited Westminster several times, usually just exploring on my own. The last time in 2019, I took the Verger’s tour and really enjoyed it. I wished I had taken it earlier.
SandyO it sounds like you mean you visited Westminster Abbey but not the Houses of Parliament in Westminster - is that right?
I took the verger tour at Westminster Abbey in June and highly recommend it. The tour group was small and it was very enjoyable. We were also admitted to the shrine of Edward the Confessor which you can only see on the verger tour.
We took the Westminster Abbey tour with Walks of London that LizLynwood linked to upthread. We had a good time, and the guide was excellent.
