It used to be when there were real brick and mortar travel agencies they would have actual paper pamphlets for tourist attractions. Does anyone know where I can get actual pamphlets with pictures, maps etc. for attractions in London? Specifically St James Park, Globe Theatre, Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, etc.
The Tourist Information Office would generally be the one to supply those travel agents, as well as individual travelers. But they may also be somewhat reducing paper usage or mailing brochures in advance. See www.visitbritain.com, www.visitlondon.com, and the web sites for each attraction, which may have downloadable documents. You can pick up more physical paper at one of their actual Tourist Offices in airports, major train stations, and the city center, as well as in smaller displays at hotels and around.
Sherry, for a map showing the sights you list, try this: https://tfl.gov.uk/cdn/static/cms/images/visitors-guide-map.jpg
For transport info, try this guide : http://content.tfl.gov.uk/london-visitor-guide.pdf
And, of course, the world famous tube map: http://content.tfl.gov.uk/standard-tube-map.pdf
All the above are from the TFL (Transport For London) website.
I've seen pamphlets still available at racks in hotels as well as pubs and restaurants, I always bring a few with me back home. A walk by attraction, such as Big Ben, won't likely have pamphlets.
