We will be in Bath the first week of October and would like to see the Cotswolds while there.
Unfortunately the most convenient tour from Bath is full.
What other ways have you used to tour the Cotswolds?
Has anyone hired tour guides?
Are there many companies that service this area and offer tours?
Any ideas will be appreciated.
Thank you.
Hi Nestor,
My wife and I used the following service in 2019. We are going back to Bath this December and have booked them for another tour of the Cotswolds.
Good luck and safe travels,
-Josh

We did the RS Best of England tour in August and we arrived in Bath several days early so we could do some day trips. On one of the days we used Celtic Horizons to hire a driver for an all private day tour of Southern Cotswolds. For 2, from 9am-5:30pm, it was £340. We got to customize exactly where we wanted to go and how long to stop in each place. I’m sure their office would provide suggestions as well if you weren’t exactly sure what you wanted to see. Our driver came with a binder itinerary and info sheets of all our requested stops in a preselected order that would make the drive most efficient. It worked out very well. We visited Castle Combe (45min), Lacock (50min), Malmesbury (90min), Bibury (35min), & Cirencester (90min). There was on average a ~20-30min drive between each village/town.
Thanks you.
Do you think you are okay to walk through hills? If it's a possibility for you I think you'd get the most out of the Cotswolds by walking. Get a bus from Bath to nearby Weston (not Weston-Super-Mare!!!) and the path begins thereabouts. A good walk is to the Lansdowne battlefield and then back :)
