Arriving from York with luggage, My son and I took an afternoon tour with Steve Moon (steve@dover-tours.com). Visited Battle of Britain Memorial Museum; Dover Castle (second oldest castle in England); the White Cliffs; and beautiful residential area St Margaret’s Bay. Clear day so Ee could see France’s White Cliffs. Dined at charming and comfortable seaside Coast Guard restaurant while looking at sun sinking into the horizon. Steve drove us to Canterbury where we stayed the night. Amiable and knowledgeable part-time guide. Next to the Cotswolds, this is a terrific English beauty.
