Tour from London to Cotswolds

When it comes to excursions from London, it was recommended to me that I might want to consider taking a tour to the Cotswolds. Can anyone recommend a good, not too costly tour company that takes tourists from London to the Cotswolds for the day? We are hoping to leave early and have sufficient time there, returning in the evening if possible.

Thank you in advance!

When are you going? Check the schedule for London Walks. I did a day trip with them to the Cotswolds a couple of years ago and enjoyed it very much!

You don't say when you're in London but, in summer London Walks do day trips to the Cotswolds. This year they seem to be mostly on Sundays, or every Wednesday they have done a trip combining Oxford and the Cotswolds. www.walks.com.

Becky's Secret Cottage Tour is a very well organized 6-hour tour of less-touristed Cotswold villages hosted by locals, plus coffee break, lunch, and cream tea at their own thatched-roof family home. They pick you up and drop you off at Moreton-in-Marsh station, which is an easy journey from London Paddington. I had a very enjoyable day out with them this past June.

Look at the reviews on TripAdvisor under "Secret Cottage" in Moreton-in-Marsh. They run almost every day but being a small-group tour they regularly sell out so advance booking is essential. An excellent value at £95.

Evan Evans does great tours in and outside of London. We took a day trip to the Cotswold's with them, many years ago. You can't see much in one day though. The Cotswold's cover a huge area of England. We also spent 8 nights in the Cotswold's a year ago.
