To Train or Not to Train: Stratford-Upon-Avon to Birmingham

Hello Everyone,

I'll be traveling to England from April 5 - April 14th, and I'm trying to figure out my logistics for Easter Sunday, April 9th, 2023.

On April 9th, I'll be participating in the Go Cotswold's Tour, the pick up and drop off location will be Stratford-Upon-Avon.

The tour ends @5:30pm, can I catch a train to Birmingham afterwards, or should I arrange lodging at Stratford-Upon-Avon instead? Is Easter a major holiday when public transportation is spotty? Or is their service pretty brilliant!

Please Advise,
Sherry

There is a direct service to Birmingham Snow Hill and Birmingham Moor Street at at 6.27 pm and 7.27 pm (last direct train)- destination Worcester, fare £9.60 single.

There is a later train at 8.36 pm (destination Leamington Spa)- get off at Hatton at 8.54 pm, board a rail replacement bus at 9.20pm to Warwick Parkway, change to a train which arrives at Birmingham Moor Street at 10.10pm (this is a change to the timetable due to rail engineering work).

NOTE -there are many later trains from Leamington Spa to Birmingham New Street, (up until 11.29pm) but that is not a valid route on a through Stratford to Birmingham ticket, and no transport from Stratford to Leamington.
