From London what is the best way to go to Paris? I am travelling with my 9 year old daughter and we will be leaving September 25 and checking in after 3pm in Paris anytime that evening. A link to the train site would be very much appreciated if train is recommended. Thanks in advance.
Basically your options are flying or Eurostar train. http://www.eurostar.com/ will give you train information, try https://www.skyscanner.com/ for flight information.
Thank you!!!!! I'm checking the sites out. I am seeing offers for passes. Is it worth it to get a pass? I am travelling to Italy after, I have been urged to go to Venice, I have flexible bookings in Tuscany (San Giovanni D'Asso) and Rome and could squeeze in Venice. Would the pass help me to get home? I haven't booked my flights to or from Europe from Canada yet. I have been advised to go with open jaw.

I talked about pass features and flight routes on your other train-related post.

Passes? What passes? Eurail passes? Country specific passes? Something else?
The only way to know if a Eurail or other rail pass will save money is to add up the costs for the point to point tickets, then compare them to the cost of the pass PLUS the added cost of seat reservations required for trips on high speed trains in countries like France and Italy.
Did you WANT to go to Venice? I seem to remember on another thread that you said your expenses are tight. Keep in mind that Venice can be expensive compared to other places. If you want to see it, it would be the logical place to go after Paris. Flying might be cheaper ( and definitely faster) than the train.
Then you would train from Venice to Florence, and into Tuscany, where you would pick up your rental car. Then drop off the car and go to Rome by train.
"Would the pass help me to get home?". How could rail pass help you get home? An open jaw airline ticket makes sense. Fly into London. Fly home from Rome. No backtracking or wasted time required.
